  • That was added a few years back to help combat all the own-goal squeakers that made the game almost unplayable (ironic that the guy continued to score on himself after it was stopped in the 2nd video).

    Obviously some tweaks still need to be made

    How's that counter an own goal? It's a shot on net that's stopping mid air, dropping right below where it hit. That should be going in the net off the post in both videos.

    There is also still plenty of own goals in the game if that's the case, though this explanation to justify what's happening in the video doesn't make any sense nor have I ever heard of the fact that stopping a goal going in the net is to prevent an own goal lol.

    What's especially crazy is that the net actually bulges, indicating that there's some logic under-the-hood that acknowledges the puck is hitting the inside netting which should be a goal. 

    This is a weird one for sure.
