Relax. Not directed at you specifically.
@PernellKarl027 wrote:The most flawed logic in all of this, is that when I buy a hockey game, I would expect for it to play like one. As close as it can to the real sport. What’s wrong with that ?
it does hahah. If this game "doesn't play like hockey" to you - then you need to address what you expect hockey to be like when it comes to a videogame.
@PernellKarl027 wrote:EA tries to cater to the casuals first and foremost and that’s where they go wrong IMO. Build your hardcore fan base and make them happy and the rest will follow along. Who will still play this game in February and buy packs ? Casuals or hardcore people ?
If by "cater to the casuals" you mean market the game to new players, congratulations - you've figured out the entire goal of releasing a videogame. As someone who has played this game for 30 years - I can assure you that the claims that 'nobody will play this game in February' are made every single year, and yet every single year I have no problems finding online competition right through to the next release.
@PernellKarl027 wrote:you say that the GAME plays like the REAL game
When I say that, I mean it plays like a real game considering it's a VIDEOGAME. Some of you expect these games to be 1:1 simulations and when they don't reach that level (and no game developer has ever yet achieved this) you get all mad and claim the entire thing is garbage and terrible and anyone who enjoys it needs to "watch more hockey"....

lol
Im relaxed buddy, don’t worry 😉
Its just when you highlight what I said and you respond to me especially, I’m pretty sure it was directed at least in part towards me.
At the end of the day, you are satisfied with the game you have been playing online for the past 30 years and I’m clearly not. No need to argue about this.
And if you see my posts around here, you would know what I want in a hockey game. You would have probably seen what I’ve done for 23 to make it play like I want… OFFLINE…. For once in my life, I would like to enjoy this setup ONLINE with my friends and bros. But that day will never happen I guess 😐

I think we both agree on that haha. We just want a bloody good hockey game we can play with our friends.
We need GM Connected, with custom sliders. EA would instantly satisfy a large number of users but instead we get a pressure system lmao
