Mistakes on defense are amplified due to the importance of the position. Playing defence means taking ownership and responsibility, something that many people here don't like. I am also guilty of this. There are times that I get mad while playing and think "man what the eff is going on here" only to see my captures after and recognize the mistakes I made that led to the thing that made me 'mad'.

people don't like that theyre held accountable for the AI's interpretation of positiong which 9/10 times does not align with real life positiong. People make a "hockey paly" on defense and punished for "bad" positioning because AI aren't programmed to play hockey. They're programmed to stand still in zones and prioritize zones over people. Thats not hockey.
So actaully, "hockey plays" are amplified in this game by outrageous agility, speed, accelrations, passing & shooting levels, and the AI's incorrect intepretation of position.
So yeah, I "hate" 1v1 defense. its super boring. its passive, you cant rely on your AI to do simple man-marking, therefore it feels nothing even remotely close to hockey. that why most people dont find it fun. its neither realsitc, engaging, or satisfying.
