Lobby Simulator 24

What is up with this new drop-in matchmaking situation? 3v3 "quick play" takes over 5 minutes to find a game? First the game wants to find teammates where a majority of the time you are waiting on a goalie which either no one plays or no one wants on their team. Then you take another few minutes to find a team to play against (I'm assuming because they too are searching for something they will not find) then if you cant find an opponent you have to start the search again which starts searching for the players then again for opponents. You spend more time searching then playing. In previous editions you would load into a game within your search time usually and have a minute at max before the game either started or sent you back to the lobby due to not enough players. Why the change? This is NHL 24 not Lobby Simulator. People play drops because they want a quick game or do not have enough for a club game. No one wants to sit around staring at a screen that doesn't even let them know whats going on. Especially if you get linked to unfavorable servers and your ping is trash so you end up leaving anyway. Guess the game wasn't intended to be played.

Yep, I wasn't able to play on Sat on Sun because I would be stuck in this endless "finding opponent" loop in drop-in 6s. I spent 15 minutes trying to find a game and just gave up. Very sad. 3s drop-in seemed to work find for me. I don't like 3s though. Too many sweats looking for an advantage over lower skill players. Played Hitman WoA instead. WoC is unplayable in it's current state.

I really hope this gets sorted out. I tend to play 3s more mainly because I feel like 6s drops turn into 2 skaters and a bunch of cpu players due to quitters which is just boring to me but I also understand the frustrations of 3s.

@sinisterdisciple Update, I found that this year the search settings default to use best game location. This was not the case in the past. It always defaulted to relaxed. When I set it to relaxed I was able to find games. It still takes a long time to find a game, but it DID improve my situation somewhat. The overall matchmaking experience is still very poor though. Under ideal conditions it still can take a minimum of 5 minutes to get in a game. 2-3 minutes to find a team, 2-3 minutes to find an opponent. This part of the game has taken a step backward. The menus are unbearably laggy and load times between screens has taken a step back too (they've always been slow, but are somehow worse in 24).

I went through all the settings as well hoping to find something that helps. I think turning off the club fill option helps a little as well hit it's still the same situation. I agree the menu load times are atrocious and I'm glad the team is taking care of major issues in the game but this one hasn't even been addressed.
