I'd argue that if you've not noticed this before coming to these boards you've not played enough. Hitting for me has been too big of a risk for the reward. Not saying it should go back to how it was but being left SO far out of position isn't good. I'm just really tired of the offense getting all the advantages and all the assistance. The defense ONLY had hitting and now most defensemen just give up low danger shots and hope the rebound goes in their favor. Defense is in a pretty bad place.
