No, its an intermittent issue. We are simply trying to duo-queue for a drop-in match (allowing to fill in clubs also) and when it matches us up with another group to try to make us teammates , this can happen some of the time. It seems to happen when the party ownership transfers from one group leader to another.
As i said its intermittent, and honestly the past few days have been better since the patch earlier this week, but it still can happen

Matchmaking is better now but everyone being defaulted to Use "Best Game Location = Yes" is really causing issues.
When you combine lobbies with another group, even if you have "BGL" set to "Relaxed" you are subjected to their search settings if they are given party leader. So you are having alot of queues where you've got 3 or 4 players getting paired with a solo player that doesnt understand he needs to "relax" his settings and just never finding games as a result.
This is actually a huge quality of life issue, my group has played 2 games in 3 hours.
I used to find games right away - now it takes more than a few minutes ☹️
No, its not "just how it works sometimes" when there is a simple programmatic fix of them to default everyones setting to "Relaxed".
thank you for sharing Tigidooh, it didnt even occur to me that they're getting priority because they have it set to "yes". You're 100% correct and this is really degrading the playing experience quite substantially, I'm not being dramatic over this, its a simple band-aid fix that is affecting almost everyone. A couple years back they introduced the "Yes/Relaxed" feature in the first place, they should be able to fix this in like 1 development sprint cycle.
I've sat in queues for over 5 minutes, only to get paired with a European solo dropper that has it set to "yes" and that's unbelievably frustrating because you're waiting to just find a lobby thats going to fall apart with your 4 other North American buddies.
