That's not something a permanent ban would be issued for. Not for a first offense. You would need to have a history of being actioned for offensive names before your account is actioned with a permanent ban.

I'm not sure who oversees this stuff, but what you've said here is definitely not true. I have an alt account that I made a funny sexual innuendo name on. I received a "warning" email the first night I played the game. It said I basically got a free pass to change my name to something else without penalty. I woke up the next morning and before I even had a chance to change my name, I received another email saying I had been issued a PERMANENT EA BAN ACROSS ALL EA GAMES for my name being exactly what it was when I originally received the warning.
Maybe you "are not supposed to" be handing out near-instant perma-bans to people for having a name like Don Keedic or Peter Gazinya, but it DEFINITELY is happening. Oh yeah, and even if you receive a temporary (i.e. 3 day) suspension in NHL 24, your game will be rendered useless as you will continuously "crash" when trying to enter WOC after your suspension has been rightfully served. Yet another serious problem with NHL 24 that I have yet to see any of you with "EA" in your name address.

If they allow us to put something for our name. We should never be permanently banned for it. Plain and simple. Just my johnson got me permanently ea banned and after 3 appeals failing. They refuse to allow any more looking into it. They wont lift my ban when i even changed my name before they banned me. They preach inclusive gaming and * on the people who gave played and bought their games for years. If you dont like my name why ban me from all ea games and not just nhl. Ive spent over 15000 on ea games and skins. Youve basically just robbed me for everything ive ever spent. That should be a crime in itself.
They need to lighten this system. I have seen so many names that were not even offensive not allowed in this game. People need to stop being soft. Worry about fixing your game instead of this
Agreed. First off you shouldnt be banned regardless for a game you pay for. Regardless of what you make your name. Freedom of speech, you pay your money just like the person who is reporting you for your name. Everyone is so soft now a days. Its a video game and just about every name i see on there are made to be funny and a joke.

Since this game is not rated mature, we can't have obscene and offensive names. Besides that, people use it as a way to spread hateful comments. Something else we're not going to tolerate. This game should be about playing hockey together. Not naming your player with an obscene or racist message.
