Everything is wrong with this new hitting , the hitting controls is totally crap and the hitting motion looks really stupid . It just feels very wrong and its not a fun game anymoore
@Grizzlybear496 @recipe87 me and my club completely agree. We score a lot of goals as well so we arent just some goon team that complains because the hitting was changed and all we do is skate around and hit people and take penalties. We play the game to score and win but we LOVE the hitting aspect of it. I personally am a grind it kind of guy most nights. I hit, play in front of the net for deflecting and rebounds. I hit people after the whistle because i think its hilarious and makes it super fun to me. I definitely prefer the old hitting style controls, the old animations, and just was hoping since they added glass breaking and hitting into the bench that they made the animations better with the same controls but its much much worse now.
- @booher04 Yes totally agree with you . exactly like our team like to play it is real hockey . We were glad when they advertised the glass breaking and hitting into bench but from the first minute in nhl 24 we were dissipointed and felt that something was wrong with the game and the controls . And the hitting after whistle is a fun thing to have in a game

I follow these threads and the updates more than the other 5 guys in the club so i was hyping it up then we played and first thing everyone said was whats this stupid shoving animation?? Looks like im pushing the air?? Then we found you had to use that slapshot motion and our club was just disgusted at the changes. After we adjusted it was like well we deal with it but it still sucks and we get frustrated with the guys that just bounce right up from a hit and get back into the play before we do. Its crazy. Animations were another gripe from the hitting aspect. Doesnt make sense to me to change the hitting controls after all these years when it wasnt broken
