Community ManagerYou can avoid hits. We get a lot of complaints that offense is overpowered and can hang on to the puck too easily. Skilled players are also good at recognizing when a hit is coming and can avoid them or take the hit while getting rid of the puck which results in taking the hitter out of the play. You also can face the boards and pin yourself (if using the skill stick controls). It would be good to have more options for avoiding hits of course. I'm not saying there shouldn't be. I just don't think that there's a problem with the change to hitting. I know it's not for everyone, but it also works very well.
@EA_Aljo It's harder to hit, hence it's easier to avoid hits but it's unrealistic especially offline. My suggestion his to bring back the hitting mechanics like it was and add an option to avoid hits in a more realistic way. If the player has the speed and skills to avoid hits, good for him but at least we know we missed the hit because the player was skilled not because of the hitting mechanics. Keep it simple and people will like it.
