the gameplay is really fun ,i had to re learn to play defence ,but it s finally it s about battle between 2 teams not about speedy winger down the wing.
the cpu shoot the puck ,the goalie finally look human ,variety of goal ,i can play 5 min period and have normal stats.
is the game perfect hell no ,but im having a blast and it s well balance finally.no more slideritis..LOL
the only one i change is player acc to 55,player top speed 100,and back skating to 100.and game speed to 3
one thing i would change ...the stupid pressure meter need to go ,at least take off the team bright logo.
But good job by the new EA direction ,
sports games as become stale in the ps4 era .
but with nhl 24 im having a blast,

What is better after patch 1.2 for offline gameplay? Could you elaborate?
I also heard that after patch 1.2, you're not able to dump the puck using R2 button anymore so ure only able to dump it weakly with the R1 button. Pls confirm , thanks.
Everything is more balance... at launch the skating animation was glitchy,they fix that,
goalie dont flop around anymore..the pressure meter ...the controller is more responsive...the hitting system
i could go on and on...
like i said before the game is not perfect ,but they did a really good job balancing the whole game,
i just like how you have to fight for the puck ,play really good positioning defence and the variety of goal.
i understand why this game is having bad review ,those one trick pony online genius as to learn ,how to play fundemental hockey..LOL
but believe me this game, went in a really good direction.and it s mile ahead of nhl23
it s the first time since nhl legacy ,that im having so much fun ...
I don't have NHL 24 for other reasons. As a franchise mode only player all the years didn't have any problems to adjust the sliders to have a good play. For me personaly a good gameplay is by far not enough to buy this game again.
- @frenchfrog I agree on just about everything, 90 percent, I too feel this is miles better than 23 . I have the game speed at 0 and the player acceleration and speed at 39 . I enjoy it to feel more authentic . The other is I enjoyed the goalie flops when needed , there was so many great animations and I was being robbed many times were in 23 it was a guaranteed goal. I was hoping that was not removed. The game is also set on superstar mode. On everything else I agree the game is alot of fun and simulation hockey is as close as possible with the adjustments needed from the sliders. I haven't had a chance to play much after the patch due to life lol.. Great post.
