Nhl 24 overall review(offline)

Old timers here...and franchise only players.

This years game is a win in my book  ,but not a clear one ...

First the gameplay is WAY more fun .

The whole era from nhl 15 to 23 of nhl game are sluggigh and bland ...no action hockey...just boring.

The goalie animation upgrade is a welcoming addition .

The way you have to play good defence is really great ...it took a while to adjust to the new hitting system but for it s working ..with good sliders, you can tone down the physicality...like tortorella said ,the nhl is the no hit league.

And for the love of god ..the cpu finally shot the puck .thanx for that 

Variety of goal and the penalty system is pretty good too.

I can finally play 5min period with good stats.

Here where it dont work for me.

The stupid circle ,pressure meter on the ice and the red board on full pressure ..

The weird ice projection that is way over the top,make the whole UI cleaner.

here my biggest dissapointement with the nhl series for years 

Players separation ..the addition of x factor was a great idea ,this years it was tone down and it work great.

But i still dont understand your roster update.

Thank god for roster sharing ...i took stlgamer update on ps5 (thanks dude for the amazing work you put in )and re work the whole players base to create a more real life stats.

It s so easy now with nhl edge ,advanced stats...to know who hits,shot % ,block more,shot frequency ..etc

Ea need to hire someone to create a good roster .to many player have the same build .some players with one goal in 50 game as 85 shooting accuracy..player with 85 in hitting and never hit no one on the ice ..

Wrong equipement ..

Skating style are all the same

Goalie style.

I could go on and on ..

The tool are all there ..but the lack of detail and attention put in by Ea is a big dissapointing.

And how about a real out of town scoreboard not that scroling thing at the top .make me feel like i am in the league...players injury update from other team...Why do i have to open 2 or 3 Windows to see what happening in the league .player of the month award ?

Anyways ,like i said at the top this years game is good game ,but with more attention to details,you could have a clear winner.
