@EA_Aljo Is full presentation in the game after its inexplicable exclusion in NHL 23? Can the new goal celebration be turned off? Can the exhaust meter be turned off?
Unfortunately, full presentation is not returning for NHL 24. I know this is a big one for many of you and we are very aware of the feedback on this.
The new goal celebrations cannot be turned off, but there are plans to add the ability to trigger the old cellys which will override the new Flex Cam cellys.
The pressure meter is not able to be turned off. I'll make sure this feedback gets passed on to the team.

Thanks @EA_Aljo ! Even though it’s « bad news » I appreciate clear and honest answers. That’s all I/we want instead of hoping in someway it could be possible to turn off or just not knowing.

@EA_Aljo Thanks for clarification. Glad to hear about the plans concerning the flex cam goal celebrations. And your feedback to the devs about the pressure meter is highly appreciated. Maybe we get heard. The lack of full presentation we obviously have to take as fact but at least we know it now.

So, not overwhelmingly good news but I appreciate that at least this year everyone knows the game that's being delivered at launch... and for franchise, authentic NHL hockey enthusiasts, there's too much distraction on ice.
If the traditional goal celebrations do go in, the plans Aljo kindly mentioned could easily mean something as late as a January patch or maybe NHL 25, then I'd certainly be keen to try 24 out. Flex Cam after every goal is a killer for me, the Pressure meter for others. Oddly, I can sort of reconcile the latter as it's similar to the shot clock in NBA 2K, but it really doesn't need to be there for Franchise. It's a UI overlay after all.
24 is a bit of shame really, there looks to be some nice improvements, the "build pressure" meta is intriguing if it means robo goalies start giving up clean wristers rather than just the few glitchy "sure thing" goals, icon passing is good, audio sounds great, but there's just a few arcade like elements that are egregious immersion breakers.
It's not really a question of getting used to them for offline because invariably you go back and play say, 21 or 22, which had the presentation elements offline players do want but none of the enforced 24 presentation elements that seem extraneous to a solid Franchise, realistic experience.
But as said, we know where we stand, which is genuinely appreciated. No purchase for me at launch but still interested in any title updates and the reception the game gets. I've been a big fan of this series for decades, so it will always retain a degree of emotional if not financial investment.
I hope that changes in the months to come.
- 20Portugal043 years agoNew Veteran@EA_Aljo Thank you for the updates. so far I'm ok with full presentation not being brought back, I've come to accept it and look at the positives such as full goal replays are back and look really nice and I see replays on big hits and goalie saves are there so I think that's a nice add on from ea. let the new team work on a presentation package and we may be surprised in the future.
For the new flex cam celebration , I personally enjoy the new look of it so my question is the old cellys which will override the new style, can you still only use the new flex cam celebration without any issues? Thank you - coolspot7773 years agoSeasoned Hotshot@EA_Aljo
Been playing hockey since 1988 and Thank you EA ALJO this is not good news about the presentation but the honest answer make it a bit easier. We are die hard hockey fans and we get very upset if we are get the feeling of getting ignored this make it a little easier to take bad news. But please to NHL 25 make the presenation the intros replays 3 stars etc include this in the game and the the game become so much better.Ea fifa and Madden get this and we hockey fans want it so much for the NHL serie.
Think about it for a second what is good gameplay without good and authentic intros/presentation?Without it yes you feel you are playing a good game but it is not better then the presentation. Thanks for listening.- jerseytide3 years agoNew Hotshot
As others have said, at least this time we know what we're getting, as opposed to being told one thing and then getting something else. I think the focus for NHL 25, besides finally addressing the offline game modes, is to give us the choice of how we want to experience the game. This is how most modern games operate, including other sports titles. If you want to reach as many fans as possible, let the people who want all the arcade stuff have it, and the people who want full authenticity have it. Most games give players MORE options with every new version whereas with NHL we are getting fewer and fewer choices. This has to change if you want to win back those of us who feel let down by this game year after year.
- 3 years ago@jerseytide I don’t think they’re gonna be addressing the offline game modes for nhl 25. They said it’s within the next three years, or a three year plan.
So most likely 25&26 will be “planning” and 27 will be a release with a “revamped” offline game modes (which will just be the modes stripped down to bones) like they did with BAP a few years ago.
At this point I think they know they’ve lost the majority of the offline players

What's so difficult about bringing the full presentation back into the game? As an option, it simply brings it back and everyone is happy
- Bruins0633 years agoRising Hotshot@chris9562 Couldn’t agree more… why can’t they do it as a patch down the road for this game

I’m saddened to see there is once again no “full presentation”. As much as I wanted a full presentation like when EA had some of the rights of NBC, I could’ve just lived with just showing us the starting goalies and their stats before the opening faceoff. Hoping something small like that could at least be patched in some point during the year.
- Bruins0633 years agoRising Hotshot@BoredJason13 I don’t understand why they can’t make it like nhl 22 as like an update later this year tons of people are complaining and they aren’t saying anything about it like an update post like they did a while back…
