@BahamutaI think it’s still possible that they could have fixed some of the worst decisions they made in 23, like removing the restrictions on player/strategy edits. It would make sense that the director wouldn’t get into that in the interview. There’s still some hope there’s improvement, but we won’t know until probably just before the game releases, if not after.

Can we wait anything new to creation zone ? I mean offline side player creation and team creation ?
- @007hockey I really should. Constantly finding myself between trying to be reasonable and fair to EA, and being absolutely furious with them.
- @Juhani_91_91 I highly doubt it especially considering they all still have the same old boring goalie masks. Maybe some new equipment but logos and such I doubt
- @kyl_35 One of these years is offline players will learn. I stopped playing NHL 22 after 2 days. Didn’t buy 23. DEFINITELY not buying 24 after they legit said “didn’t do any work in offline modes”
In the “three year plan” allegedly. So we’ve got to wait even longer for a decent offline game mode? Insane - @007hockey I buy it second hand off marketplace. That way I still get my roster update and I don’t give EA any money. Everyone wins!
- @007hockey It's boor, that they not be updating mask designs. Would be nice, if we get AHL logos to use in team creation, like as possibility use female players in team creation and. Also some new jersey models would be nice to have team creation. One awesome thing would, that we could upload logos to the game via internet like in 2KNBA
@EA_Aljo Along with my other question. I hope you can answer this one! Are the overtime celebrations updated like instead of the same spot. Are there gonna be some along the glass and can the goalies not being coming for the bench… thank you

- @coolspot777 I would think yes... but you couldn't turn Carlyn off even though she was widely complained about. So flip a coin.

Yea, this might be up there with the breakaway camera in regard to top gimmicky features in an NHL series.
I'd like to reserve judgement until I play it, and I appreciate the effort they're putting forward in revitalising the meta, but first reaction to seeing power-up bars mid-ice and consuming the boards is not good.

The buttons are now used for certain dekes including the Michigan.Yikes. Although I don't use Hybrid controls, the idea that some dekes are being mapped to buttons really rubs me the wrong way. These moves required practice and some skill to execute in-game and now someone can just push a button?
I'm all for making the game more accessible to newer players, but hopefully one-button-dekes are something that can be turned off in competitive modes like WoC/HUT/OVP
I'm personally looking forward to the changes in the game. I like the offensive pressure system rewarding cycling the puck and getting shots to build it up instead of simply just ragging in the zone. No way we should be seeing posts from people complaining about having like 10+min toa and 20+ more shots than their opponent and still losing a game 2-1 or something. I'm going to guess this will be highly monitored and adjusted if it happens too easily and causes problems as it should be a simply slider fix for them. One thing is certain is that PowerPlays are gonna feel so much better setting up plays.
Really hoping I was understanding the 1 touch passing correctly in that it will finally be off the sticks fast and with the ability to direct target I hope it's something like Pass+Button then tap another button to instantly tap it to the marked button player for ultimate movement and setups.
Goalies in the video kind of scare me if they gonna be flopping around so much. Makes it feel like they are intentionally gonna give out big rebounds to keep the play alive and not really stay in a controlled state. I like they brought back the ability to guess the shot for a better save chance. Also love the centering back which should really help a person playing goalie not scramble and go crazy so much and stay in a more relaxed state of playing.
In the video on the dump and chase when the Avalanche player went for a sticklift it was actually successful without a penalty. In NHL 23 that same exact play would probably always result in a penalty.
As for the controls I feel they are going with a method to make things easier for all and it becomes more of a are you smart enough to know when to use said moves instead of making it some weird map out to execute.
As for the rest of the details I look forward to the Deep Dives that should shine some more light on the features. Really want to see how the WoC crossplay clubs works.
