@llamaveroxIt was reverted because the checking was god awful after without that boost. Lots of times you felt like you connected but it wouldn't register. With people already saying defense gets no help this was a helpful revert change. Many of the changes this year have been to make things harder than easier on players. The pressure system and new flip dump have added lots of weight to playing defense even better now if you want to succeed. They made goalies somewhat better overall than what they were before. They removed the LT-ing ability this year. The ceiling of great players from average ones is still there. You can watch the esports teams/players play to see the difference between what most face and what they can do.
You can use the line well it isn't real hockey. Well we are playing a video game of hockey. It's never gonna be 1 for 1.

I disagree, I'm in those leagues. I play against the best a lot of the time, I play with the best on occasion only one guy in my history of this game have I gone yeah this guy is better than me and that was sirgab after he ecu'd in one of my league weeks guys literally able to do things I don't understand. I recorded his gameplay because of it and should upload it.
I think the reverting of the checking is basically the same reason but slightly different. It is the only effective form of defense this year to the games detriment. Guys can literally walk the puck through skates and bodies can shoot through stick on stick contact etc. I had a goalie flying pokecheck while a guy was shooting his shooting stick went through the stick and the guy got a goal that should of been redirected.
There was a year where it was too much 19? I believe.. They went in the opposite direction and it feels so much worse now than it ever has.
I cant believe how anyone can stand this game it is totally destroyed. Nhl 23 and the nhl games before that was fun and playable but this game is not even playable . I always had respect for EA and thought they were proffesionals but now i dont know what they are doing . Someone else need to take over this game because EA is done they have completly ruined this game . This is the worst game I have ever played in every category
