NHL 25 thoughts?

As always i hope they upgrade the presenatation side of the game big time with team intros goalie presentation before the game begins that is going to do so much for the gameplay/overall feeling of the game they could do so much more to make the game to feel more authentic.

I'd want the cover athlete to be someone that will kind of define what NHL 25 is aiming to improve on gameplay wise.  While I would love MacKinnon on the cover.  I don't think they are doing back to back Avalanche.  But #1 Cop Bobrovsky or Barkov would be cool.   Or the greatest drawing ever.... 

I play full sim cpu vs cpu Franchise. I'd like to see the gameplay look more like real hockey. The game has become linear and very stale to watch. I'm not talking about animations but reactions to play by play. Hockey is such an exciting sport but players always make the same overdone moves and angles. The game looks like real hockey but doesn't carry the excitement and creativity from the CPU players. 

I also cannot find an online game and play in an NHL arena with other players like we used to 10 years ago with no issues. The other thing is the sound effects. There are still these old punching wax paper sounds that are from the 90's to represent hits. Those sounds do not exist in hockey. They're thumps. Years ago this was the bests we could do but now it's really inexcusable.

If a game doesn't play itself like a real hockey game looks, then it's poorly done. That's the ultimate litmus test. Watch the game play itself.

I only play CHEL so my thoughts are strictly for that and I am not sure if they cross over. Overall, this is the best version of the game since 2019, and miles better than the disasters of 20 & 21.

The main tweaks are in game play:

- AI defensemen need consistency based on what your setting are at. 

- Goalies, the pressure system is in a good place, but goalies still make too many boneheaded mistakes. Such as someone dumps the puck and the goalie stands there watching go off the boards off his skate and in

- The boarding calls are absolutely horendous, you can hit someone chest to chest but if its by the boards its 50/50 you get called.

- Player game misconducts need to be brought back for several reasons

            - To stop the 20 fights a game

            - Reduce the 5 minute long injuries

In terms of Club Creation - There should be a coin, points system, some hybrid or anything really that allows you to pick what uniforms you get rather than it being all chance.

PRESENTATION sizzle montages remain before games, but now you have the option to opt in and watch a full match intro if you really want to build the atmosphere before a big game.

The Community Fifa fans was like us NHL fans very angry that they (EA) hade taken out the pre game intro in FC 24 and cut down the presentation.The pre game intro and presenation is very important for the realism and feel for the game.

Now it seems like Ea had listened to the Football fans and bring back full pregame intros in FC 25.

Now we NHL fans demand they do the same for the NHL community/fans and bring it back also for NHL 2,5 we wrote a 100 page + that we all wanted full presentation back so do the same in NHL 25 and get us what we want.
