Can you specifically tell me which part of the Hybrid controls don't work for you? I'd like pass this feedback on to the team. Again, the only difference is how you take faceoffs. If you haven't tried out those controls yet, please do that so you can tell me what you don't like about them.
- PurceyPea1 year agoRising Traveler@EA_Aljo OK... with Hybrid controls I would like to see the players move faster with the X-button, to win faceoffs use the A-button, do slap-shots, wrist-shots, & back-handed shots with the B-button, & the very top 2 left buttons with the spin move & being able to drag the puck... I have really broke it down for you please pass it to the feedback team

Taking faceoffs was the same speed with NHL 94 controls.
Currently, Slapshots are on the B/Circle button. Wristshots are on the X/Square button. Backhand shots are done by moving the puck to your backhand and then shooting. For a toe drag, you just move the right stick from about 8:00 to 5:00 counter-clockwise. I realize this isn't ideal for you though. To spin, you just hit LT/L2.
I'll pass on your feedback. I really don't anticipate these changes will be made. So, as long as your hands have the mobility to perform what I mentioned, the above controls can be learned with some practice. If you have mobility issues, I would suggest getting a controller that allows the controls to be remapped.

On Xbox, any controller can be remapped. I believe you can do this on PlayStation as well. The problem is, this will remap the controls for everything. There are some controllers, like the Elite from Microsoft that let you set different profiles so you can switch between using the mapped controls or the regular controls. There are other controllers with this feature as well. You can do a web search for them. You can also do a search for the instructions for remapping controls in general.
- PurceyPea1 year agoRising Traveler@EA_Aljo OK I am gonna do some research about this on YouTube… but I have a few questions… #1 If this all works would this affect any saved progress on my other games? #2 If I am able to remap the NHL 94 controls to NHL 25 would I stay be able to have the current updated rosters and create players and that sort of stuff? and #3 when does NHL 25 come out?

This means you make a button perform a different function than what it does by default. For example, if you want to move hustle from clicking down on the left stick to using the A button instead, you would make that change in the Xbox controller settings. To find out more about this, go to www.google.com and search on Xbox controller button remap. You should find a lot of articles and videos explaining this.
- PurceyPea1 year agoRising Traveler@EA_Aljo That sounds like customizing your own control set-up I am gonna do my research on control mapping because this sounds like a very good solution to all of this it’s not the solution of bringing back the NHL 94 controllers like me & many other people want but it’s better than nothing at all should I succeed in doing I will try to pass it on to other people and everyone will be happy

What this does is remap the controls for every game and app as well as how you navigate the menus on your console. Unless you get a controller that has separate profiles. Then you can activate a different profile for different games. For example, I have one profile I activate when I'm playing NHL. Then, I can turn it off when I'm done and go back to normal controls.

Yes. Button remapping works. There are a ton of videos online that show you how to do it. All you're doing is changing what a button does. For example, if you want the A button to do what the B button does instead, you go into the settings and change this as instructed in any of those videos.
