NHL24 is not good game

@internetg611 My guess is the canned animation doesn't have a threshold for impact of any kind and the animation for the delivered hit is built into the hit so its likely just animation (yes/no?) Every EA game (and honestly most games) are very animation dependent. I'm not sure this is how the hitting works but I'd assume if "50%" was an answer they would. It's probably something they will have to do all over again.. though I could be wrong. I just think this game is gonna take WAY more resources and time than EA will EVER consider giving it. It's sad, it's my favorite sport but I think this franchise is gonna die. Hopefully another company makes the game this one is just getting out of hand and more and more unrecognizable. Goalies doing flips and laying down, curling up.. it's wild. I just don't think this dev team is capable of the work that needs to be done to get this game back on track. Play 2K for a few hours and see how much further they go with their game AND the lack of bugs compared to this game. If I had to guess and I didn't know I'd have guessed the game was made at least 20-30 years after NHL 24. I mean I get the budget and stuff.. but 20-30 years behind? Nobody can even tell what direction they're going in or what they're working on. Probably some other feature everyone will hate and ask to be reverted. Idk... I played the first season of this game and a bit of the second.. lost interest. My friends all played 1 night and decided it was too easy to score and switched back to 2k because it's a lot more competitive. I suck pretty bad at 2k and feel I'm pretty good at NHL so I play NHL a bit more but it feels a whole lot less fun. Even losing in 2K I can see where I made mistakes and see what I need to do to improve. Sometimes I'll get a weird animation or I won't be contesting someone I'm near but that's not nearly as frustrating as a puck ricocheting off my skate and into the back of the net hahhaa that's the end of the night kinda frustration haha!
