Skill gap? What skill gap? When you can keep forcing passes through players with a high reception rate is it even because you're skilled anymore? The lack of decent interception rates for forced passes and good intercept anticipation is extremely low. I guess top teams with goals in the thousands already is right where this game should be, am I right?

Can I ask how you make those .gifs? I find this method so much better than linking videos. Playing as a sniper is pointless on defense, you can be right in the lane and your lucky if your skater acknowledges the puck going by him at best. Any nhl character in an nhl video game controlled by someone with enough hockey sense to be in position to intercept or at least disrupt a pass should be! This issue is infuriating for defensive play.

Just a quick update on this. We are aware of the recent feedback you all have been providing on intercepts. The team is looking in to it so when there's news, we'll get it relayed to the community.
To Add to this...
Even when your player is in proper position, and even when they do make contact with the oncoming pass, they very frequently just bobble the puck and immediately lose it.
I use a PMD and stay between offensive threats, intercepting passes. The majority do not stay on my stick for me to retain possession. 84 def awareness and 90 puck control 86 hand eye. I would thjnk that is enough to not consistently mishandle soft easy loose pucks or passes.
In general, picking up loose pucks is a big issue on both ends of the ice.
