@EA_AljoI don't mean to be dramatic here but this is actually the most serious issue this franchise has ever had upon release. People cannot find games and are getting extremely frustrated with how the search queueing works. Something desperately need to be fixed ASAP. Also unless I've missed something, we (the community) don't even know if the team is aware of how bad of an experience this is, let alone if a fix is planned/being discussed.

We are currently investigating the matchmaking reports. As soon as there's some news, I'll provide an update.
A big help with the drop in matchmaking wait times would be to reduce the 'looking for teammates' time, at least when there are 2 or more players on the team in 3on3. No one (with 2+ brain-cells) wants a random Goalie on their team, especially in 3on3 and yet, even after getting a C, W and D, gotta wait for 3 extra/pointless minutes every single search for a goalie that a) damn near never turns up (in EU) and b) absolutely no one, wants. As it is, we're basically wasting 30-90 minutes just waiting for absolutely no reason whatsoever, every night. It's frankly a terribly flawed system and everyone's sick of it.
Isn't it possible there just aren't that many people playing? Its one thing if there were 150K concurrent players like Madden, but this game gets about 15K players online.
That's an extremely high estimate. Half of those are multiple accounts
The good part of the previous games is that the matchmaking was limited to 2 minutes once in the lobby whether or not it was full. Now it feel like it's unlimited and will only goes for the near perfect match up.
Us, the players had the power to start it by all getting ready up or not if it was reasonably filled or in the worse scenario poeples were leaving the matchmaking at the 2 minutes mark to start a new room (In the huge majority of time though the game was starting just fine).
It was also good to see the opposing side players joining in or not. Too many times I've seen broken room were empty position wouldnt fill up no matter what, it was easy to tell when it was best to simply back out and re-launch for a new room.....now, well, it's impossible to tell, we are left ''looking for opponent'' with absolutly no clues as if everything work as intended or not.
They also took away the possibility to switch build during the ''search for opponent'' which doesnt make much sense at all, players that choose ''skater'' only have the power to switch build (if needed) in the last 25 sec. Why, just why?Wait times have consistently gotten longer with less people playing.
Thanks for the update @EA_Aljo . Also, I think its worth passing on to the Dev team that when someone is queuing for a drop in 6v6 search, by DEFAULT everyone's matchmaking settings are defaulted to "Use Best Game Location" = "Yes" instead of "Relaxed". I think this is almost certainly contributing to the problem, as when a lobby gets formed, if the player that gets assigned the "Leader" position has Best Game Location to "Yes" then its going to be harder for that group to find a match.
I suggest among any other fixes that are in the works, that by default "Use Best Game Location" should be set to Relaxed.
Any exact date on the patch date that will bring back old controller settings?
This is outrageous. There are challenges I PHYSICALLY CAN'T DO due to hand injuries.

If I start the organization mode, will the next update get there too? In nhl 23 I had to restart the whole mod. For example, new projects on the ice were not added until we reset it?
