Demitra is one of players, which should be add to the game. Demitra is one of players, that belongs to slovak golden generation. Now we have the following slovak players in alumni teams Peter Budaj, Zdeno Chára, Marián Hossa, Michal Handzuš and Peter Šť'astný. Hopefully we get Demitra, Gáborík, Bondra, Pálffy and Stümpel to the game in the future.
I think that KHL not could be reason, why Demitra hasn't in the game, because Jágr played three season in KHL, before than he return to NHL.
@Juhani_91_91 I hope so, they have added so many new NHL Alumni icons recently yet nobody new from Slovakia. Small market for EA so they don’t care. Demitra, however, really deserves to be in the game. EA_Hawk promised last year to check with the licensing team about him but obviously nothing happened.
@teamunrefinedEA has done great work when they have add new alumni players to the game. Actually they have added two new slovak players to alumni teams in NHL 24. They added Zdeno Chára and Marián Hossa to the alumni teams. We have players from fourteen different countries in the alumni teams. We have players from those countries in the alumni teams: Austria [1], Canada [482], Czechia [15], Denmark [1], Finland [19], Germany [3], Kazakhstan [1], Lithuania [2], Russia [10], Slovakia [5], Sweden [33], Switzerland [1], Ukraine [1] and USA [94]. But where is the Latvian players? From Latvia has come few cult player to the NHL and they are Artūrs Irbe, Sandis Ozoliņš and Kārlis Skrastiņš.
@Juhani_91_91Chara and Hossa were already available in NHL20, 21, 22. They were just removed in NHL23 and then added back in NHL24. That said, Gaborik was also removed in NHL23 and still isn’t available in NHL24. What I meant was that EA didn’t add any net new Slovak alumni players such as Pavol Demitra, Peter Bondra, Jozef Stumpel, Zigmund Palffy, Miroslav Satan, etc. that made a significant mark in NHL and have a lot of fans even outside of their home country. I agree with the Latvian players as well, Ozolins and Irbe should be in the game.
- @teamunrefined You're right, that Chára and Hossa were available in the NHL 20, NHL 21and NHL 22 and in that EA Sports not have added new slovak alumni players. But Chára and Hossa were not previously found in alumni teams. I meaned this, when I said, that EA Sports has added two slovak alumni players to the NHL 24.
One thing what is stupid in alumini teams, is active players. For example Mikael Granlund and Nino Niederreitter are in Minnesota Wild alumni team and Juuse Saros is in Nashville Predators alumni team.
Marián Gáborík is a good example of slovak player, which should be added to the alumni teams. He is legend in Minnesota Wild like also Mikko Koivu. About me both guys should be added to the Minnesota Wild alumni team and active players Granlund and Niederreitter should be remove from alumni team.
