After watching the gameplay trailer I can’t help but wonder if player indicators will strictly be UNDER the active player (like the old times).I’m into simulation and personally, the last thing I want to see is a big old circle below the player I control.Hopefully we get a chance to have them ABOVE the players just like in the more recent installments of the game.

And theres gotta be another place for that bar in the middle of the ice to be..Coming from a man that was allergic if I had too much shadow around the puck.

NHL20 was the best imo even if remove mine during gameplay, lol !I don’t like the "V" in NHL23…. And yeah, having all this info at the bottom of our skates, is a big no, no imo ! This is not Madden…

i really hope that we will be able to turn it off or somehow to authentic. This disco feeling on the ice is horrible😵💫🫣

@nhluser I agree. Just way too much. Let me enjoy a clean screen if I want to. Others can benefit from the pressure meter.

@absomething I like it, that indicator is under to player. If in the team play two players, which have same last name, would nice , the last name would be preceded by the first letter of the first name. For example , if you play with the Vancouver Canucks alumni team, there is Sedin brothers, in the indicator reads only Sedin. Would be better if in the indicator would read D. Sedin and H. Sedin, that we separate, which of the Sedin brothers is in the puck.

@absomething Just think of it like the system they have in place now with the indicator over the top of the head. I'm sure there will be an option to turn it but the energy gauge might still be there. That is something that will probably get talked about later or we find out in the Tech Test on the 21st.

While I got used just fine to the V, it is true the indicator just before was great. Obvious in the screen while not in the way, clearly highlighting the players with the puck or your teammates. And the ability to choose it's size from small, medium and large. It was the best.

That circle under the player and that green meter and the Pressure meter icon on the ice is just way to much things on the screen for me.It has to be an visual option to turn these things off or it is a clear no buy.Apperntly the pressure meter on the ice is not going to turn off make me very worried the circle and energy meter is no option to turn off either.

I wonder why they take down previous player icons though. Why don't they just leave them in the game anyway and add new one as years goes.....and let players choose from 3-4 different type of icons. I would definitly go back to the diamond shaped icon or the V. Anything as small as possible.

You have games out there with tons of customisation, particularly shooters. Where you can completly remove enemy/teammates health/energy bar, change the colors, the size, customise your interface, etc......Why can't we just have more than one option for something as simple as the player icons. I hope we eventually get more to choose from. I hate being forced on something I dislike.
