Players always do an arm check when puck is loose in front
OK, so this is a small problem but I'm not sure if it's fixable. When your player is in front of the opponents net and the puck is loose, he or she will try to do an arm check instead of trying to whack at the loose puck and everytime it calls interference. Number one, it's a puck battle so how it can be a penalty in the first place, I don't know. Second and I have checked the replays to verify this, why would it be a penalty if the puck is within my sticks reach. Why is my player, Iginla, just for one example, not trying to put the puck in, instead of trying to push the opponent anyway? Sometimes I can understand if I am mindlessly hammering the right stick up over and over, then it's partly my fault but when I see the puck pop out and I push up to bang it in and first of all it doesn't shoot, it tries to arm check the defender and then it calls me for interference, when I was trying to shoot not hit, that's not right. It's the same control action so it would require an ai improvement to know the difference I think or change shoot and hit. Anyways, besides that and all the damn poke checks that turn into trips, I love this game. It blows away all the previous years. The new button passing is great. Only problem is it takes a little longer to pass that way and it seems like the right trigger only passing is less accurate now. Are they trying to force the button passing? Oh and a light snap shot should not break the glass and the new over the board animation is cool but my opponents always seem to do it when we are standing still, pushing and shoving at the benches and next thing I know, in I go. I have to blast them while skating to put them in. I love smashing the glass with a player though. Doesn't happen quite as often in real life as it does when I play 24 though. Could just be my over aggressive hitting sometimes. I get alot of boarding and charging calls lol.
The shift based energy and offensive zone pressure were genius. Later
