Playoff logo and sound

During playoff games when the playoff logo flashes by on the screen, why on God's flat green earth is there a sound which (at least to me) sounds like it's taken from a cartoon like Scooby Doo? It brings my mind to when a character realize he has to run, and then dash somewhere.

Why not use a more "serious" sound? I don't play a lot of playoff games usually, but I'm half-way into the first period of game 1 now, and I really don't want to turn the sound off (and I won't), but that noise heard before every faceoff... 🤪
