the light show prior to faceoffs in the Oilers barn is causing me harm. It’s very distracting and shouldn’t be in the game. This happens in all three zones. Please do something 🙏

The light show during faceoffs in the Oilers' arena is seizure inducing, and it's just as bad for a few other teams - I think Tampa Bay is a good example if I remember correctly.
The only reason I can think of that could justify the lights is home ice advantage. You would choose the arena because you can handle the faceoffs with the lights and would hope it's really distracting to your opponent, but that sucks for anyone trying to rep their home team but can't deal with the lights.
The glare of the ceiling's flood lights while in the defensive zone (if you're facing up) is also equally as harsh, but this can be somewhat lessened if you choose a different camera angle.
From what I remember, I thought there was a year where you were able to adjust how reflective the ice is. This would be a reasonable setting to provide so as to reduce the number of migraines players experience.
