Power up icons.

  • Just picked up a Paul Coffey power up icon. 85 rated with the potential of 98. The cost is 42 power up collectibles. And averaging out a power up at about 25000 coins. Thats 1050000 to upgrade this card. And his speed rating. 96. Coffey was one of the most elite skaters in the NHL. Taking Zdeno Charas power up card. His speed rating is 96. Chara couldn't reach that speed with a jet pack on his back. So EA. How do you determine these speed rating numbers? My guess. You pick them out of a hat. Because they make no sense at all. Just like your pack odds!

no idea how someone can pay more than 10k per collectibles

during rewards days, buy players per bid --> PUC sets

Its all in the plan. EA distributes x factor and power up icons, then limits the availability of power ups. Which drives costs higher, do to everyone's demand for them. And finding them in packs, rare! My point was. Crazy to want to build up these cards. Especially since duplicates of those players show up in different venues. TOTW,  Live Moments, Play of the year, etc. Cost is a lot less as well.

  • 25000 per puc is way over market price. If you arent familiar there are sets that allow you to exchange players into power up collectibles from grinding or the auction house which is really cheap at the ment due to the amount of purples this weekend. HUT is also trying to sell packs and not be a realistic game mode.
