Re: Does Seeing Eye stack with Total Eclipse?

@Big_E_Bronco50

Since Seeing Eye and Eclipse have different effects so they will stack.

Unfortunately, I don't have all those numbers.

    I agree the initial effect is different. However they both have an additional effect that reads the same.

    Seeing Eye reads, "Advanced accuracy on shots when the goalie is screened. A screened goalie's reaction time is also reduced when shooting with this ability".

    Total Eclipse reads, "Exceptional skill at screening the goalie and obstructing their view when screening with this player. The goalie's reaction time is greatly reduced."

    It seems to me these two would effect the goalie in the same way and would not stack. I would theorize, based on the logic represented in the responses about abilities, that these two would not both affect the goalie. I would assume whichever is providing the greater reduction in goalie reaction time would trigger. I would recommend the OP use a different shot perk if a teammate is screening with total eclipse.

    It seems like these two perks, which seem synergistic, really aren't. Wouldn't Heatseeker just be better than Seeing Eye if a teammate is already providing the goalie debuff with Total Eclipse? Heatseeker will still trigger even if the teammate isn't available to screen.

    @Big_E_Bronco50 Seeing Eye is from the shooter. Total Eclipse is from the person doing the screening. So in a way both do stack but not from 1 player using both.

    @KlariskraysNHL I’ll try this one more time…the second phrase of each perk seems to imply an effect on the goalies attributes, not the shooters and screeners attributes. They seem to have the same effect on the goalies attributes and would probably not stack similarly to how the same effect won’t stack on user with overlapping shooting perks.
  • Sorry, I'm referring to the same effect they have, not the different effects, namely that total Eclipse reduces the goalies reaction time and seeing eye reduces the goalies reaction time.

    Does this stack? Do goalies react even slower if they're screened with total Eclipse and facing a seeing eye shot?
