Re: NHL 25 Ideas - Threes Mode Depaysement

Anything remotely resembling the old HITZ games gets a thumbs up from me

  • An Updated Threes Mode could honestly become the new Hitz mode for the NHL Franchise. Especially with EA bringing back Broken Glass and Checking players over the Boards.

They could bring the broken glass Frequency all the way up in threes mode so the glass breaks everytime a player gets hit by the boards and the game just keeps playing.

This could defiantly be added in a Post Launch update for NHL 24.

  • No Offense to the OP, but If the EA team would put effort, time and resources on this, I will quit this franchise forever… And I’ve been there since NHL91…

Playing hockey on Mars and on a ship is exactly what this game needs 🙄

OFFLINE modes have been forgotten for awhile and there’s plenty of Arcade Hockey Gameplay going on with this series as is… There’s Fluorescent skates, clown gears and all for Online peeps.

As much as I loved NHL HITZ for what it was. I hope this is not the direction this game takes…

NHL FORTNHITZ 2025 ? Now come on !!!

I will admit the Rinks in space may be a little over the top, but I stand by everything else in my post above.

This New Version of Threes mode could become very popular for offline and online players.

    Have the offline world circuit.

Then have a separate online Season Mode, similar to FC Volta.

The way EA is designing NHL 24 this year, making the skill moves easier to pull off and making the controls more assessable for Gamers who are not experienced NHL Gamers, shows me that EA is trying to make a game for more then just the current Market.

Putting in an arcade mode like the one I have presented above could help bring in the new crowd as well.

I am not saying they should put their entire development team on this but this could be a good feature to release in the next few years.

I don’t think Volta takes anything away from the FC franchise, it just provides a more Arcady amusing way to play the game of Soccer and that can entice people outside of your current market to buy the game.

I know it worked on me, the trailer I saw for Volta in FIFA 20 was the deciding factor for me when I bought the game.

Yeah,Im not sure what modes youre talking about BUT I am one of those players that LOVES realism and a rink anywhere other than an NHL-AHL professional rink including stadium series would be a HARD NO for me at least!

I definitely want to see WAYYYYY more Arena-Rink ideas for my NHL team though cause the current 10 isnt nearly enough just like the scoreboards! We NEED more of them!

Many things needs to be changed in nhl 25.

I swear to god that speedboost hitting and arcade game needs to be gone please @EA_Aljo 🙂 :D goalies and all the ai players needs to be better making plays, stop the plays and more. In nhl 24 game just rewards players tooo much making shots all the time everywhere and hitting all the time. I dont like that greasy goal hockey at all. Thanks🙂

@Jutila22 Except that "greasy goal hockey" is how you play hockey. Get it to the point, shoot low, get greasy rebounds. That is the essence and realism of hockey. AI does need to be better at guarding these plays so they are not as free sure, but there is always a risk of setting the AI too high that you can basically camp in net. An issue we have seen in the past. As for that speedboost hitting situation, you can blame this community for immediately wanting the change reverted when they did try to remove it. Lasted less than a week before people called for the devs heads on a stick for doing so.
