Rivals is limited to 50 games for ranking points but Champs will count against that 50.

It is recommended to play all your Rivals games before you start your Champs run. Champs will give some points towards your Rivals standings but I understand it to be the amount equal to a loss in Rivals. 

ETA - Squads is it's own mode and does not count against your online games.
