I wouldn't read too much into that.
Using HUT as a foundation for a world championship was the worst thing they could've done. It alienates 90% of the user-base from even thinking about wanting to qualify. Why would I want to play against sweats who paid $$$ for their OP lineup?

i want the exact same thing, but EA has proven to us, year after year, that it isn't gonna happen

@TheBeleafer52 I honestly wouldn’t mind if they cancelled it for a year as I wouldn’t have to pay $70 for the new game and they could put in more work to improve the game for next year. Be a pro and franchise could use a lot of work - it would be nice if it would be like EAFC where you can be manager of any league, play both your teams normal league and tournaments, play minors and international games in be a pro, etc.
Cancelling the series totally would stink.
- @KingPyrrhus981 They essentially did that by working straight on 24 after the launch of NHL 23. This franchise would need multiple years off to do that
