Re: WOC/BAP Camera Angles Upgrade Request

Also, just to clarify, what I’m asking for is a single camera that follows your player and adjust its angle dynamically according to area & direction of play in a way that brings you closer to the ice but doesn’t leave any serious blind spots on the action.

I think everyone understands that, but just wanted to be clear.

Yes, I completely get your new camera and I DIG IT ! 😀 I would even zoom in way closer. In real life you have blind spots also.

I was just asking that when PL just adding the BAP camera, low, high and fixed as an option also since they are already in the game. I guess that option would be way easier for EA to implement as a temporary solution.

The Cameras in the game needs to be worked on and also the replay system. We are on NEXT GEN here, these two areas are lacking IMO.

I feel silly for putting so much time into this post because I just noticed that there are already options for cameras similar to what I’m looking for. They just don’t show up in every game mode’s setting menu.

Still, having tried these out today, and I still think they could use some improvement.

For example, in Low, I would prefer to stay close to my player almost all the time. But for some reason the camera only swings in close when I have the puck.

Don’t feel silly cause your posts are awesome !

The cameras you are talking about LOW, HIGH and FIXED are ONLY available when playing BAP mode. A mode I never play for different reasons.

Like I said, the more cameras options the better, especially when Player Locking 😀

Thanks a lot for the compliments!

I have also found these cameras in World of Chel. But I would like them in Online Versus and Practice/Free Skate

I’ve learned of the Be A Pro camera options Low, High, and Fixed.

I love some of it, but hate the rest. Why can’t the camera just be locked behind my player while maintaining focus on the play?  I mean look how beautiful and fun this is:

But of course, the video above doesn’t represent the full reality of the Be A Pro cameras.  Rather, the cameras swing in and out of position at random moments.  Most of the time, it zooms in behind the player once you have the puck, but not always; and sometimes it stays zoomed in even when you don’t have the puck (which I like), but again, not always.  It feels way too chaotic and can cause confusion.  I mean look at this video here which shows what it actually looks like to play with a Be A Pro camera (it’s all over the place):

Bumping this because I believe it deserves attention.

The Be A Pro cameras could be one of the most exciting perspectives in the game, but they need work.

When you don’t have the puck (offense or defense):

-The camera should stay behind your player the whole time with a focus on the puck so long as the player’s head can turn far enough to see the puck.
-When the puck is out of view, the focus is simply in front of you, but you can use Vision Control to turn towards the puck again

    When you have the puck:

-The camera should stay behind you the whole time with a focus on the goal so long as the player’s head can turn far enough to see the goal.

-The camera will stay behind you / turn with you when you use Vision Control, but will continue to focus on the goal so long as the player’s head can turn far enough to see the goal.
-Holding RT/R2 for Icon Passing takes your focus off the goal and broadens to show your teammates that are within your player’s head-turning field-of-view.  Teammates out of that field-of-view will be shown on the edge of the screen as off-screen indicators.

If these cameras are fine tuned enough, they could (and I believe should) become the only way to play World of Chel.
