The level of thought and effort put into this post is amazing, great job. Personally, I don't think there's any universe where EA would go through the effort of implementing 99% of this, but custom controller bindings are a must. Hopefully EA has learned that they can't please everyone with presets like total control. Since we have so many one-button moves available now, like it or not, we really need to be able to choose which ones we have bound where. It's 2024; it's been literal years since I've played a game without custom bindings, other than NHL.
Even if we just have the option to choose what the buttons do, that would be a massive improvement. I personally have never done the Michigan on purpose, and I would much rather be able to hug the boards by holding that button. I'd also rather have quite literally anything else on X or A when I have the puck, so even if we can just pick which deke they perform it would be a huge improvement. Currently, the quick deke and stride deke are almost identical inputs, so it's hard to reliably do the stride deke.
