Request for patch notes
On September 26, EA dropped an update/patch for NHL23. Not only they didn’t announce it, they never said what was in it. No patch notes, NOTHING !

Purely speculating here, but sometimes these patches - despite their size - are small adjustments needed to keep the current game online.
For example; there may be some server-side changes being made for NHL 24 and in order to ensure NHL 23 continued to stay online, a patch may have been needed. This patch may have included something as simple as an updated settings file to point NHL 23 to a different or new server.
They may not be able to indicate what exactly was patched without divulging some new information about NHL 24 that isn't necessarily something that the public needs to be aware of.
In any case, it's definitely not something to get worked up about.

Ok, if that what it was. Or something close to that, as we are speculating here, why not just SAY IT ???

I'm very sorry for the lack of patch notes. I can most definitely understand the frustration. If I can get any other details, I'll relay them here. However, with the team being focused on the launch of NHL 24, I really don't know if I'll ever have an update on this.
Thanks for the apology, but like I said, I’m not blaming you one bit.
For some it might seem like nothing, an afterthought… Something that’s not worth putting up a fuss about…
But I’ve put my heart and soul on the OFFLINE portion of this game, and I would have really like to know that information before updating my game. Like I said, even if it doesn’t affect the game at all. Cause all of this leads to interpretation, false info and confusion…
