I’m pretty sure almost every patch adds in “Various bug fixes, tuning, and improvements”, so other than the timing of the patch this isn’t really something new.
The vague communication can be very frustrating for sure and in most cases also leads to some players making some wild accusations about EA secretly changing the game. I don’t personally think there’s any merit to that whatsoever, the biggest problem I always have is the roster updates that give no details at all and I’m left wondering if it’s worth it to install and have to redo all of my changes.
So although I doubt a patch this late in the games life would have any impact on gameplay, I completely get why you are frustrated.
