WHAAAT - They just keep asking for video proof to better deny the problems after.
There have been many times I've agreed videos show a legit issue. When they don't, I'm going to call it out. I'm not going to waste the dev team's time chasing down issues that aren't real. Feel free to show me where I'm stating that a submitted video is a legitimate issue that I'm denying is such. Take a look at the patch notes and you'll see where the community contributed to those updates due to their feedback that very often included video.
@EA_Aljo finally jumped in.
NHL 20, I sent you countless videos about the input lag I was experiencing and you kept telling me that there was none. Even my 7 year old daughter could see it. I finally figured it out. It was my TV screen that was causing it, so I got myself an ASUS gaming monitor and that solved the problem. Online mode where we had to win the most of 10 games, I could never move further than division 4. With my new monitor I moved to division 1 in a couple of weeks. So, I'm sorry man but when it comes to analysing videos, you don't have a lot of credibility to me.

I will fully recognize lag when I see it. If you're submitting videos that don't show any and it's something you need to feel instead of see, then I'm only going to be able to go through basic troubleshooting. We don't get that many reports of input lag. If we did get a bunch of them at once, we'd absolutely be investigating that since it would indicate an issue. Such as the problem with AT&T recently. Just because I couldn't find fault with your videos, that doesn't mean there's a flat out denial of every video showing a legitimate issue. Lag is one of the most difficult issues to resolve due to the near limitless combination of equipment, ISPs, routing, traffic, etc. We are always monitoring our servers and we announce when we're investigating anything that comes up.

@EA_Aljo can you describe what happens in this video then?

Did this happen to be in the last minute of the game? If so, the goalie of the team that's down could be leaving for the extra attacker. The AI team in Squad Battles will do that if they're down by 3 goals or less.

@EA_Aljo What about this one? I can keep going like this all night...

I've seen this happen as well. It would be good to get a longer clip, but it drives me crazy when teammates get in the way of the carrier. Seems to happen more often this year than in the past.
Feel free to keep the clips coming. I'm heading out shortly so I'll probably have to get back to you tomorrow.

No this was in the second period if I recall well. After the goal at the faceoff, I had one player sitting on the penalty box and I had to kill a penalty that was never whistled.

Gotcha. Unfortunately, I can't really gather those details from the video. Don't get me wrong, I fully believe you, but it wouldn't help us in an investigation. What I need is a longer video showing what happened before the goalie left for the extra attacker. I'll still get this reported though.

Thank god this is being addressed. I've been trying to get a bunch of video regarding this one (from my AI vs. AI matches), but I've had trouble finding ways to get it to the forums since I don't use twitter + have had issues with Youtube lately.

Claud Giroux and Brayden Point are both forwards. The fact that these two are attempting to initiate a breakout with No defensemen behind them indicates these players have been wildly pulled out of position.

I think we got that... but I took possession of the puck and I went on to score a goal. The play should have stopped the moment I touched the puck.

What's your point? A forward out of position should be blocked by another one? Besides, CPU team players are always out of position, I don't see them blocking each other.

ya my bad sorry bro. I re-watched the video and edited my comment to remove my mistake
@6hpy2hzsfzas wrote:What's your point? A forward out of position should be blocked by another one?
That's no what I said. At all.
The point that I'm making is that pulling your players out of position will cause the a.i. to do very strange things. I've posted videos proving this is the case and I've tried to implore people to be much more aware of the players they're controlling and what positions they're supposed to be in - and you'll have a better A.I. experience.
@6hpy2hzsfzas wrote: Besides, CPU team players are always out of position, I don't see them blocking each other.Yes, the cpu a.i. bumps into each other often from going out of position to (usually) cover up an abandoned position by a human controlled player but they've been known to get lost in a.i. vs a.i.i situations as well

I'm not confirming it's being addressed. It's just something I've experienced as well.

@EA_Aljo What about the new faceoff things that came out with the November tuner I think (see video)
Now what use to be a clear faceoff win could quickly end up being a goal. Who's the genius that came up with this idea? He probably thought nobody would notice. You combine that with one of your AI players taking a penalty, faceoff in your own zone, you win the faceoff, oh no...not really cause the CPU will always grab the puck first even if he's rated 68 in skating. That's another example of why this game is unplayable.

The only changes to faceoffs were the location after a net was knocked off the moorings and toning down the spotlights. I don't see how that would really have an impact on this. It looks like the aim just wasn't good when taking that faceoff. I don't agree this makes the game unplayable. The vast majority of faceoffs, in my experience, are being picked up by the team that wins them.
@EA_Aljo you are going to have to come up with something better. I've been playing all version of this game and this problem started happening only this year and at the end of November I think.
Look at the winger that grabs the puck on the video. As soon as the puck dropped, there's no hesitation, he goes straight where the puck is going to end up, so that was clearly scripted that way. The same goes for goalie rebounds. The puck bounce in the air and while I'm trying to see where it's going to drop, the CPU defenceman already knows and goes straight where the puck will hit the ice to grab it. That's unrealistic and gives an advantage to the opposing team.
Stop manipulating games outcome, let us play.

That player is just tracking a loose puck. The A.I. are able to calculate their chances of obtaining a loose puck and if a threshold is met, they will not hesitate in their efforts. This is why I implore people to NOT take control of their a.i. if they notice their a.i. is in hot pursuit of a puck and/or a puck carrier; seeing them making an effort towards a carrier or loose puck tells me that they will obtain the puck or disrupt the play. Taking control of them interrupts that flow.
In your scenario, the a.i. on the other team has simply recognized a loose puck based on a faceoff win that was incorrectly aimed down and to the right. You should never aim a faceoff win towards your goalie.

It's not manipulation. You have a.i. on your team that have the exact same responses to these scenarios. If you consider this an advantage for your opponent (CPU or human) then you should recognize situations where you benefit from this 'advantage' as well.

The game is not scripted. I'm leaving your response up, but further mentions of scripting will be removed as this is against the rules.
@KidShowtime1867 already explained what is happening so I'm not going to repeat it.

@EA_Aljo keep denying problems as usual.
Thanks for nothing.
