@MisterWebbWhats sad is this describes FC & NFL pretty well too. Unfortunately all those games sold top-20 in the US justifying why the companies release games in a beta state.
PGA actually did what you suggested and is the best first-party game they released, but it didn't sold the least out of the four.
I will add NHL is at least adding patches that improve the game this year
