Stick Handling
In NHL24, maneuvering the stick, particularly on breakaways or 1v1 situations, is less fluid and much more prone to unintended results than in years past. I understand puck protect is now doubling with turbo on the control scheme, but even when the puck protect/turbo button is let go, the animation continues for several seconds, making the breakaway much more difficult to maneuver, especially on quick left and right stick movements; for example, a FH BH FH move.
The number of times players are running into the goalie, or otherwise just flubbing their shots is far greater than anything seen in NHL 23 or prior. The stick movements in those past games were fluid and responsive.
Was there anything changed to the stick handling mechanics behind the scenes that accounts for this?
Edit: want to add that the stick handling delay/unresponsiveness is much less pronounced in free skate within WoC or any offline mode. It is most obviously an obstacle during WoC 6v6 or 3v3 matches
