I don't play really any game with friends, tbh. I don't play leagues and clubs to make friends. I play this game purely for the competition. And, unfortunately, that means adherence to the meta.
Ultimately, I don't really care about getting kicked from random lobbies. I just wish other builds were more viable.

@KlariskraysNHLYes we need several meta in this game.. not only 1... and im not talking about truculence and unstoppable force because i hate xfactors... we pratictically never see the grinder , two way foward , enforcer , enforcer defenceman ,defencive defenseman , enforcer defenseman , two way defenceman... because they not meta at all... (and good for you in here if you like these players class btw) but for me they don't have the value they should have... and they should have a good value. like all the other class. every player class need to be special
- KlariskraysNHL1 year agoHero+@kKOV27 I don't want to even see Enforcer be a thing in this game. They don't serve a real purpose but to troll.
X-Factors and such aren't going away sadly. But they need to be exclusive to certain builds even the silver ones need to stay exclusive. That is how you make things like a TWF, Defensive Dman more relevant. I've been rocking a TWD all year and prefer it for it's ability to play solid defense and still move around nicely. - kKOV271 year agoNew Ace
@KlariskraysNHLyes 100% , the game need to balance their player classes or and mix the xfactor and grey/gold attributes with specific classes

Just want to throw my lot in with everyone here, I think I agree with basically everything that's been said. One my favorite ways to play this game is being the speedy guy flying down the wing and making a play, but it has gotten too easy to overpower your opponents with just continuing to do that. Defense needs a boost. Computer defenders need a boost. And computer goalies desperately need a boost. While not dealing directly with the offense meta, increasing defensive tools may naturally lead to shutting down meta plays more often and an organic shift in tactics. I know its not an easy thing to solve because there is always a chorus of "its too hard to score" when any bone is thrown to defenders.
And in a similar vein, you get little snipers running around with truculence and the broken hip-check mechanic so the traditional trade off for being a little shooty guy is largely mitigated. Re-balancing x factors and fixing hitting are no-brainers for NHL 25.
- KlariskraysNHL1 year agoHero+@Modulater83 I'm mostly a defender and playing defense in a 6s environment with solid positional players isn't that hard. You can 90% of the time break down a play and see what you did wrong that led to a goal. Watch the esport players in tournaments and you will see what solid defense is.
Now defense in 1s is another story because you're at the mercy of the AI a great deal, but they also don't want the AI deciding more of your games by covering for bad human errors. It's probably the toughest thing they have to balance and try to find an area they feel is good enough. - hiperay1 year agoNew Ace
I think a way you can penalize speed and agility without effecting other stats, because lets face it our players rating wise are too low across the board, is to do two things.
1. Hustling down the ice in any fashion BURNS through your energy quickly.
2. Hard turns and stops cost energy to perform.
These two changes could slow the game down immensely and make it less a rush style and a little more tactical.
Oh and my usual add some form of line change/energy regen system to balance this so if you use all that energy you can, at the risk of being out of position, go to the bench to refill your energy back to full.
