This Game Is Unreal.
Thought I would make this post because there has been tons of talk about low overall players outskating or playing better than the higher overalls. The other night I experienced this in NHL 24 HUT Rivals myself playing a decent opponent who had numerous 90+ overalls. This game he seemed to be skating in mud although our connections were both stable enough. My 85 4th line were faster than the rest of my lines and outskated his high end cards? Unsure how he didn't score given how many times my AI D-man left to forecheck up by the Defensive blueline leaving my human controlled D-man out to try. My opponent wasn't a one dimensional player as he reset when needed. He had the first goal rightfully and both mine literally were his AI defense putting it in his own net.
This was a confusing game as given his playstyle and numerous chances, he should have won this. I lacked any hockey IQ in the matchup to be honest. I was shorthanded 5 times in this game which 3 of those calls were for elbowing on clean hits lol. Something I have noticed way more this year! My goalie saved me literally!
Seems like I can never beat the lower overall cards but when it comes to stacked overall teams I beat them?
