I definitely get the frustration with this. I also understand how it's easy to autofill and submit without checking to make sure no items you want to keep are being lost. Unfortunately, we can't help with accidental submissions in to sets. Regardless of it being a gold item or not, sets should always be checked to make sure nothing is being submitted that you want to keep.
