I can't agree the game is unplayable for the older generation. Which, I am a part of. I too have been playing since the 90s and spent many years with the NHL 94 controls, but made the change to skill stick when it was first introduced. I know it's a big change. When you get it down though, you have a lot more in your arsenal as your gameplay options really open up. I understand they aren't for everyone, but these controls have been in the game since NHL 07. There really has been a very long time to get familiar with them. Just to be clear, I'm not talking about those that have mobility issues with their hands. That is obviously a different issue and I absolutely feel bad if your only option was to use the NHL 94 controls.

@AdamMc84I game with people in their 40s and even 50s and they don't have problems using the new controls. I have seen kids that are so young play and dominate games like Rocket League, Fortnite, etc.
I'm in my 40s and I literally play games like Halo, Gears of War, Fortnite, FIFA, and so many more with complex controls and I seem to do just fine remembering them all. Some of you just want to use excuses instead of learning.
NHL 94 controls were never ever advertised as a disability control scheme it was simply as the name was called.
Now speaking on the situation I hope they bring it back sometime.- 2 years ago@KlariskraysNHL Some of you seem to want to talk about your video game obsession in your 40s like it’s some kind of brag. Some of us have normal lives that don’t lend hours of our days and weekends playing a variety of video games. Congratulations on having that kind of time on your hands.. I guess.
I never claimed the 94 controls were advertised for those with disabilities, but you literally have people on here telling the company they need it because of their disabilities. If that has been a known thing and they took it away, it’s disgusting.
EA should do the right thing and bring the basic controls back they’ve had for a generation. Having a spokesperson and defenders come at those criticizing this decision for not playing video games as much as they do is comically asinine and will push customers away.
