This is ridiculous. The puck is sitting in plain view to my goalie's side and he can't cover the puck. He tries to initiate a cover animation SIX times before finally covering the puck, nearly letting the puck in just before the final cover.
These kinds of issues make the goalie position so tedious to play. What good is it for the goalies to be able to save a crazy sharp angle one-timer that paints the top corner when we're just gonna get scored on by shots that hit our pads and always bounce in, or pucks that trickle in because the game can't produce a successful cover animation when the puck is sitting right in front of us?

This is getting so tedious. The shot is a weak wrister from far out. I'm in good position and make the save. But, instead of just cleanly gathering the puck, the puck bounces around nearly every piece of my goalie's equipment before landing on my pad and finally being knocked into the net by my own goalie while he tries to cover the puck.
I'm not asking to make every crazy highlight reel save on pucks painted for the top corner. I'm simply asking that my goalie not knock the puck into his own net after I've already made the save on simple shots.
