Video how AI let enemy score.

Okey guys, this is too much. I got video, how AI let opponent score. Look at Hughes how he could def this enemy player and AI decide to let him absolutly open. This must be fixed. Because of that players talking about scripts and rigged games @EA_Aljo , you need to repair this AI behaving so fast, because this is that problem what players pointing, this is for me best video of that bug in the game, that in some situatiuons, players decide to go on their position, i think in this situation AI decided, that he is offensman and he will not defend him. But you need to know, that in this situation in hockey games, it doesnt matter what postion you are playing. And about that block from Gretzky at start of the video. Thats another big problem, that your AI intentionaly blocks you even they move to side to let you go trough..Please Aljo, really repair that AI's...

  • I fully agree the AI is just plain awful but you weren't player locked here so it's unfortunately on you to player switch faster

@TTZ_Dipsy I wanted to switch right after, i didnt get puck by Jiricek, but if you can notice, in that time he already skates back. If he be ther for 1 sec more i would be able to switch at him, so i dont agree with you, thats on me, because first i tried to take puck by defender, then i want to switch if i will not be sucsessful with that defender, but player was already on the blue line.

I fully understand the AI isn't perfect. However, this goal could have been defended. You caused a turnover in the neutral zone that lead to a 2 on 0 against the goalie due to some rough defending. The AI did not just let them score. The human interaction was the main reason this happened.

We all agree on that the AI is FAR from perfect. But why wouldn't Hughes follow his man into the slot? I rather have the AI trying than just giving up, Human interaction or not, this is just stupid, do you think a player in real life would just turn away like that?

It's a snowball effect caused by black and white 1's and 0's which the cpu can't deviate from - the one AI completely giving up forced the human to aggressively attack the puck which forced the two AI on the side to cover the "neglected" zones and completely abandon the play

We've been playing with a severely outdated system for years now. I completely understand how awful it'd be to program, but the AI players need some ability to look a few moments ahead. Anticipation on turnovers, crossovers, and breakouts should, in theory, alleviate most problems players are having.

I'm always the first guy to blame the user and in this case, there was some blatantly poor defending happening, and I'm almost certain the strategies are all set to full pressure, full forecheck etc..

    However....

This is a serious problem. Obviously, this is the RW covering up for RD due to the terrible player control and defending, but like @TTZ_Dipsy has said, the A.I. needs to be looking ahead a little bit. The RW seems to abandon coverage the instant the puck crosses into the D-Zone. This tells me that the A.i. is programmed to "evaluate" the situation when the puck traverses zones. The re-evaluation in this scenario caused the RW to decide to abandon and get right to his position of covering the point.. despite the fact he should've been engaged in the scoring threat.

There needs to be some kind of logic for the A.I. to think, "I'm an RW covering for RD. There's an opponent with a clear path to the net. Do not give up THAT coverage until the scoring thread has dissipated" Let the trailing RD cover the abandoned RW coverage at the blue line until the puck clears the zone, and then have them swap back.

Of course, this whole scenario could've been avoided had the user been aware of who he was pulling out of position, taking control of last man back with some better timing and making a pass or dumping at the blue line, rather than causing a clean turnover.

Definitely user error, but there's also some glaring a.i. coverage problems that need to be cleaned up.

I agree he shouldn't back off. I'll pass this video on to the team. Thank you.

@KidShowtime1867Yeah, there are a lot of times where the AI seems to completely ignore everything going on in the zone and default into "I'm supposed to cover this spot on the ice" mode.

The most blatant reoccurring example for me is when I end up in a 3v3 club game with an AI winger. If I ever lose the faceoff on the right side the AI ignores everybody and goes to cover the empty space at the far point. I assume that the AI has no actual 3v3 strategies and is just attempting cover what would be their "spot" in a 6v6 game, but it still looks ridiculous.

@KidShowtime1867I agree, that first fault was, that i moved with Regeher and lost puck on opponent blue line. I know, that by that move, players was out of positions, but normally in NHL this happens almost every game, that defender will go to offense and if he lost the puck others will def his position. We are not robots and what are you telling is, that i should play with offensman in attack and with defenders in defened.  Sometimes is normal that defender went to attack, that was this situation. I knew its Makar i cant catch him with Lemieux, one way was take jiricek and try to hit him, he was only one who could do something. Then i saw how Hughes going defend that attacker, so i count, that if i will not be successful with Jiricek, i will switch to Hughes and try def pass, or block shot. But i hadnt chance, because in that time Jiricek missed hit, Huges was already on blue line and it switch me back to Lemieux
