The hip check abuse is on a skyrocketing rise as I didn't see it happening at all since release and have run into it several times in recent games. The problem is the game isn't taking physics, momentum or positioning into account when somebody barely makes contact with your player while holding the hip check button. Can be avoided but if you are smart in how you abuse it, it becomes very hard to get around players you should easily be able to get around. My bigger issue is the reality that connecting a body check needs to have a lot more reward than it does. I can lay a bone crushing hit that would send a person to the hospital in real life but in game they are up on their feet in less than a second or two 90% of the time. The risk of missing is way over the top than the reward you get from landing the hit. We were preached about the risk reward aspect of the new hitting system but I am only seeing the risk part of it.
We have played this game for many years in eashl clubs division 1 with different player types and now we cant stand this game anymore . We have tried to play a few games but wa have had enough so we dont play anomore bacause this isnt a good hockey game .
