If you were good at doing body hits and had a big player you could really do hard hits and now thats gone .
EA advertised that hitting is back HAHA the hitting and the physical game is Goone .
And the gamespeed also.
I dont understand that anyone likes this game
Me and my team HEAVY HITTERS will never play this game if they dont fix the Hitting and all the bugs
Please go back to basic
Hate to agree with the white knight but the hitting in this game is just fine once they adjust the hip checking. If you can't hit in this year's version it's because the game bailed you out all 23 and earlier because hitting was easy and helped you do it. In 24, you actually have to do the hit properly. So many people hate that and not every game is just people running sound smashing everyone all over the ice. Though, you see hip checks everywhere all over the ice now which is comical.
Haha okey so i average over 5000 hits in 500 games in nhl 23 eashl 6v6 division 1 as a defensman and my buddy playing forward also hit pretty much when needed so i think we know how to hit .
And we have been able to hit hard in Every other nhl game before So sadly this game is really Broken
NHL hockey games should be fast and physical
If this is how the game is going to be then this will be the last nhl game we buy .

People have such a false sense of security out there with the new controls I'd argue shoulder checks are even more powerful than they ever have been - caveat being you just need to learn to flick down then up - easy peasy.
Hip checks are fun - yeah they are a single button now but 1. they used to be a simple click on R3 back in the day and 2. you shouldn't complain about them if you abused a simple flick on a stick with Truculence/bruiser builds.
NHL 10-14 I probably spend more time in the box than on the ice with all the fighting and hitting I did so I can safely say these new controls are a skill-gap QoL tweak that should have happened ages ago. - KidShowtime18672 years agoHero

This kind of proves my point.
You claim that just because you were dominant in body checking with NHL 23 that you "know how to hit". You completely disregard that the entire mechanic for hitting has changed, you're obviously refusing to adapt to the new mechanic and just claim it's "broken".
It's not broken - you just haven't mastered it yet and that's okay. If you would just admit that things have changed a lot and then adapt to the new way of hitting, you'd likely be back up to 5,000 hits a year.
