Why does winding up to take a slapshot seems so difficult in nhl24?

In NHL24, I seem to have to precisely pull down on the right stick to get my player to lift his stick off the ice. Pretty much has to be standing still. If I'm a little bit off pulling down it just does snap shot 95% of the time.

Is anyone else having this issue?

  • @jsmalley63 Yes, it’s like shooting a wrist shot instead of a slapshot. If you wait for the wind up, the puck gets took.
  • @jsmalley63 I thought it was just me. If you're moving at all you can't get a slapper off. You have to stand still and take a long windup. Takes forever
  • i actually like the weighrt of the slapshots this year...now if they could make skating not on nhl hitz levels thatd help the whole productiion...the probelm is the slapshot animations has realy weight to it unlike wrist shots or passing or skating or goaltending so its actually quite real and takes some real physcis to do but you dont have enough time to do it even in situations where you would have enough time to do it IRL because the game is simply way too fast
