Why no helmetless CAP option or Vintage goalie masks?
For years now, several of us have posted to this Forum politely asking for the ability to create players without helmets (in order to create Alumni Legends like Orr and Esposito, etc. that aren't in the game) and goalies with vintage masks (that used to be in EA's NHL game). You simply can't have Jacques Plante or Gerry Cheevers wearing modern day masks. It's not part of the motto of "EA Sports - It's in the game."
We've been told over the years that the developers won't reveal what is in the works. We've also been told that these things MAY be in the next patch. Only to be disappointed time and time again.

I couldn't even get a response to my last post re: NHL24.
If you cannot for some legitimate reason include these things, PLEASE just tell us. It's far more frustrating to maintain false hope versus just dealing with the reality of the situation (that you can't or won't give us these things).
At this point, I'm more optimistic that a different company will produce a NHL game that gives the customers what they've asked for over all of these past years.
That's not a very happy statement to say the least. I passed (no pun intended) on NHL 23 and am passing on NHL 24. I'm back to playing NHL2K8 with the current rosters. Incidentally, that game has checking into the players boxes, hat trick hats being thrown on the ice, and breaking glass with slapshots. Something NHL24 was boasting as being included. Ummm, 2K Sports had that 16 years ago. Not cool like the NHL games should be.
