Would like to use this forum for its intended purpose. Attn EA reply

i would like to have this thread be answered by EA developers. I would like it to be an open discussion on the game. The forum is sponsored by the software company releasing it so my expectations will that the thread is supported and answered by the software company.

The first question i would like answered is how is the overall of an individual card arrived at?

The second question is if you could respond to the observation that more shorthanded goals are scored than powerplay goals in most games in the champs mode. For example last game I had 5 min pp time but gave up 2 goals. My opponent had almost 2 min pp time and also gave one up. Neither player scored a powerplay goal.  We are both essentially in the most challenging mode and obviously good at the game so this seems odd especially since it's very common

Oh yeah the short handed goals r absolutely a joke. I’d rather not even get a power play. Been playing hut for 2 years and the game since 1993. Being on a power play knowing a short handed goal is coming makes the game even more frustrating.

Couldn't have said it better myself.  They seem to just have the 1 guy (aijo?).  Theres only so much he can do, and when the same valid issues get escalated/discussed here repeatedly (and if someone at EA validates) it really needs to get added to the Dev backlog for sizing and prioritization. Ideally, it would even be communicated here when that step occurs...EA,, community engagement is really not that scary or hard, promise. For example CdPR is a tiny tiny company and dev teams compared to you all, and they seem to manage decently.  The escalation stuff is prolly already happening,  but 1 person is not enough to keep all that together and herd all of us grumpy cats.

We give you our cash either way unfortunately, but you could conisder making us regret it a bit less every year.  Who know, the improved product, engagement, reputation, reviews, perception could help ya sell even MORE stuff..crazy right?

Apologies for the late response. I was out for the holiday. As is the majority of the company. Most won't return until after the new year.

Overalls are an average of the attribute ratings.

There is nothing built in to the game to force goals to be scored more often when shorthanded. You're certainly welcome to provide videos of those goals so we can see why you feel they're being scored more frequently.

These are very general answers I could get at any bus stop talking to any random but thanks for the reply anyway

    lets try again more specifically:

lets say say I have two players on my team both 84 overall.  Let's presume they have the exact same attributes as each other. Will the cards behave differently based on the height or weight of the player? If one is 5' 10" and 135 lbs and the other is 6' 3" and 210lbs are there differences? Like exhaustion or speed?

As for shorthanded goals goals there is something called statistics that make it unnecessary to provide snapshot videos. Profession companies make spreads based on odds and this game does not statistically support your comment

further to this I asked for a response by developers, not moderators, no offence.

Even more specifically if a smaller player has 91 speed and a larger player has 91 speed are the physics of the players sizes factored in or native? If they are factored in then you expect both players to skate exactly the same. If native then the smaller player should be faster. But then this leads into the acceleration statistics. This is what I'm trying to fully understand. Does that then mean we can ignore skate values and only look at acceleration?

Similarly, if if a player that is 245 lbs has a 97 power shot and a smaller player has a 97 shot in game we see that power. How does it relate to its statistics? On paper they seem equivalent, in game the physics says the larger player has a crazier shot. Does that mean a larger player with 85 shot has a far superior shot to a smaller player with 85 shot? Or again has that been accounted for?
