I can get behind away chants, a lot more quiet than home chants, rivalry teams and a few times a year could work. But hearing them every times the away team has full pressure is crazy. When you go to a hockey game, and the home team is stuck in its defensive zone, the chants are FOR the home team to motivate the team, not « Let’s go Bruins » at the habs game.
Coyotes fans don’t chant for their team in Toronto either. There might be a few examples like Habs fans in Vancouver or Penguins in Columbus.
Leafs vs Sens was a good example from last week that it « CAN » happen, but it’s rather rare.
Still… in the video here we hear it even before the game has started. Sharks vs Flames in Calgary during the playoffs…

The first video in this thread shows that it’s randomly during the game, no pressure, no reasons why it would activate. And it’s LOUD! As loud as home team and it happened at least 10 times during the game.
