Maybe their humans played in position better. If the humans are frequently out of position, the AI will be as well since they have to move around to cover the open ice and aren't in good positioning to make the best players. It's also possible you're not setting your strategies to counter how your opponent's are playing.

Our loss was a 3s game against another good team. Not blaming that lol. Just the gameplay in general feels very different for all of us.

Since the guys above can't be as blunt probably I will help out. There is ZERO chance that, unless something was actually "game breaking" (like the "dance party" bug where teams got stuck forever celebrating a goal in I think it was 22) are they going to be working on ANYTHING related to 25's game with 26 supposedly rolling out in September.
