If you're talking about true broadcast legacy, that camera is meant to represent the actual real life TV broadcast view of each team, thus the term, true broadcast. So the zoom distance will always vary according to each teams actual home broadcast camera view. EA has been pretty accurate in replicating that over the years so Vegas, similar to Vancouver and probably some other teams, is more zoomed out, just as it is in real life. TV broadcast coverage style varies year to year so it likely is different now than you recall from a few years ago, pre NHL 23 patch.
It would be great to have a custom camera but changing the true broadcast view kind of defeats the whole purpose of having the authentic TV broadcast, especially for sim players who like immersion close to reality. I just approach it as a home ice advantage when I play at a team with a challenging broadcast view, either zoomed farther out or in, such as New Jersey where it's so close the crowd makes it tough to see the action at the near side boards.
